France, Siobhan & Ronan

Siobhan & Ronan

Coup de foudre means love at first sight in French, and that’s what Ronan felt when he met Siobhan. He first laid eyes on her at an 80s disco in her hometown of Melbourne – Siobhan was rocking blue eyeshadow and a side-ponytail, and was almost definitely busting a move to Men At Work singing about coming from a land down under. They’ve since relocated to Ronan’s native Ireland, but settled on the sunnier climes of Provence in the south of France to tie the knot.

And what a day it was! In the middle of a French heatwave guests were treated to a gorgeous outdoor ceremony under the shady trees in the gardens of la Bastide des Barattes, and after the sun went down there was an al fresco dinner and plenty of French wine.

We often say how much we love an international wedding – the different cultures coming together creates something unique and special every time, and this was no different. Siobhan, Ronan and their friends and family had a ball, bringing together the Irish and the Australian and mixing it together with a pinch of French je ne sais quoi…

This was our first foray into France, and the entire crew came along for the ride. We loved the whole trip, and especially enjoyed working with Siobhan and Ronan to capture what was a wonderful weekend that will live long in the memory.
