Coolbawn Quay, Meghan & Gavin

Meghan & Gavin

Who doesn’t love High School sweethearts?! Gavin and Meghan first met at 13, making eyes at each other across the playground at lunch break and suchlike. Meghan took things up a gear at 18 when she invited Gavin to her debs, and romance really blossomed during the years they spent together at LIT. Since then they’ve travelled the world together, eventually settling in Australia, and they hopped back on a plane to jet home for their big day!

We really had a great time with these two, Meghan’s infectious smile set the tone for a fantastic day. The ceremony was a really sweet affair, and the speeches were some of the best we’ve ever shot. Gavin, his best man, Meghan’s father and her maid of honour all gave great speeches and so it was a pleasure to build the film around some of their words. Between them they captured the atmosphere of the day perfectly, it felt like everyone present was just delighted to see the happy couple tying the knot.

Later in the day Meghan, Gavin and their crew set off on a boat ride around Lough Derg and we were able to get some great shots with our trusty drone that show just how beautiful the setting was. The couple disembarked from their cruise to applause and champagne on the shore, and the festivities carried on late into the evening with dancing and music from the Connor McKeon Band.

This video is something a little different for us and we really love how it turned out. The speeches take us back to the day every time, and the views of Lough Derg from the air just never get old!
